Dog sledding has found a home in southwest Colorado at the Directory Plus Mancos Mush/Silverton Slush February 9-12, 2006.

San Juan Stage Racing is in its second year and promises to grow
each year to provide an excellent venue for mid-distance racers and mushing fans. We are excited to begin the 2006 series in beautiful Mancos, Colorado just 18 miles West of Durango on Highway 160 in Southwest Colorado.

This event will kick off with mushers arriving in Mancos at the
Community Center on Thursday, February 9, 2006. There will be three stages over three days to complete the 125 mile and 85 mile races. The third stage continues on trails along Silverton, Colorado on Sunday, February 12.

The focus of the San Juan Stage Racing series is to promote the sport of sled dog racing, boost tourism to the area, produce an annual world class event, increase public awareness of adaptive athletes and their competitive sport opportunities, and fun for everyone involved. Come and participate in the 125 mile or 85 mile Directory Plus Mancos Mush & Silverton Slush in February of 2006.

The San Juan Stage Racing series is actively seeking local and national businesses, as well as individuals, who would like to participate in this exciting event by becoming a sponsor. Sponsoring the San Juan Stage Racing series is easy and rewarding. This race benefits Adaptive Sports Association
of Durango. For more information about the race and related events and activities to be held at the Mancos headquarters, visit their website.
